B/Fast, Full Day tour to Baalbeck ( the City of Sun) , then Anjar Castle, Ksara Cave for Lebanese wine tasting back to hotel.

   Harissa – Jeitta - Byblos

B/Fast, Harissa ( the lady of Lebanon) by cable car,then to Jeitta Grotto (the Up & Lower Galleries), Byblos, Dog River back to hotel.

Lebanon - 08 Days~07 nights

Day :01

     Arrival Beirut

Meet and assist, transfer to hotel in Beirut

Day :02

     Tyre – Sidon (78 km)

Breakfast and full day tour to visit the South. First visit to Tyre. Visit of this magnificent sight including the sanctuary and the Hippodrome. Continue in the afternoon to Saida. Town on the coast. Visit of the Sea castle and the souk. On the way back to Beirut short stop at Eschmoun, the Phoenician sight in Lebanon. Return to the hotel in Beirut.

Day :03

     Beirut – Harissa – Byblos (43 Km)

Visit of the Capital: Beirut. The Pigeons Rock, the Coastal Avenue, then the city center where you will find one of the largest reconstruction project in the World. Visit the National Museum. Via the Coastal highway, proceed to the Dog River and to Harissa, climbing by cable car to the Holy statue of Notre Dame for a view of Jounieh and Beirut. Continue on the northern coast to Byblos, the oldest town in the world continuously inhabited for the last 5000 years. Visit the Citadel, the St John church and the harbor. Return to the hotel in Beirut.

Day :04

     Cedars – Bcharreh – Qadisha – Tripoli (124 Km)

Drive north and climb to the Cedars where only some 400 trees remains but some are aging more than 2000 years. Walk through the forest which, is today an eco-museum. Continue to Bcharré, village over the Qadisha valley and home town of the Lebanese poet Gebran Khalil Gebran Discover his work at the museum. Continue to reach the second town in Lebanon Tripoli. Visit of the St. Gilles castle then  the Taylan Mosque. Walk through the souk, caravanserails and to the port.  Return to hotel in Beirut.

Day :05

     Jeita Grottoes – Faqra ( 53 Km)

Visit to the Jeita grotto. The grotto is the slow work of the nature during the past thousand years. Visit of the upper cave on foot which is access by a cable car then to the lower cave which is visited by small boat on the internal lake. Drive up the mountain to reach Faqra. At About 1500 meters above the sea level stands a Roman temple is very good shape. Drive through the Lebanese mountain villages via Kfarbedian, Bickfaya onwards to Broumana. Proceed to Beit Mery and visit Deir Qalaa. On the way back to Beirut, you may observe from above the valley, the Roman aqueduct of  Zbeide near Mkalles. Return to the hotel in Beirut.

Day :06

     Beiteddine & Deir El Kamar (48 Km)

The day will start with the visit of the Chouf Mountain. First village is Deir El Qamar, the ancient residence of the Governors of Lebanon. Continue to Beiteddine, where a superb Palace stands over the valley. Typical example of the Lebanese architecture during the 18th and 19th century. Visit the museum, the unique exhibition of mosaics. Proceed to the Moussa Castle, interesting place by the fact that it has been built by one person only in devotion to a promised wife. Return to the hotel in Beirut.

Day :07

     Baalbeck – Ksara – Anjar (125 Km)

Drive across Mount Lebanon then descend towards the Beqaa Valley to reach the world greatest historical sites: Baalbeck. Visit the place with the Temple of Jupiter and Bacchus. Visit the Ksara winery for a taste of the Lebanese production. Proceed to Anjar the only Omayyad site in Lebanon, recognized to be one of the major market place on the Silk Road. Return to the hotel in Beirut.

Day :08

     Beirut departure

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport. Flight home

Meet & assist at Damascus Airport and transfer to hotel in Damascus for dinner and overnight

Day :02

    Amman – Madaba – Mt Nebo – Dead Sea

Full day tour to visit main sites on the capital Amman with its Citadel, Roman Theatre, Archaeological and Folklore Museums, as well as the modern part. Proceed then to Madaba and visit its famous St. George Church where the oldest mosaic map of Palestine ever exists. Drive then to Mt. Nebo for its spectacular view of the Holy Land and descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth. Return back to Amman Hotel for dinner and overnight

     Amman - Petra

Drive to Petra to visit this Rose-Red city carved in living rock. Dinner and overnight in Petra

Day :04

     Petra – Wadi Rum - Amman

Drive to Wadi Rum for a jeep tour to discover what Laurence of Arabia did, then proceed back to Amman. Dinner and overnight in Amman

Day :05

     Amman – Jerash - Damascus

Drive to visit Jerash, the Greco-Roman city and proceed towards the border with Syria. Meet & assist and proceed to hotel in Damascus. Dinner and overnight.

     Damascus

Visit one of the world’s oldest cities where many civilizations have left their marks over the centuries: Armenians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Arabs. Some of the most popular sites to visit: The Omayyad Mosque, Al-Azem Palace, the Chapel of St. Ananias, St. Paul’s Window, the National Museum, Hamidiye Bazaar, Saladin Mausoleum and the legendary Straight (mentioned in the Bible). Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Damascus.

Day :07

     Damascus – Maaloula - Palmyra

Drive to Maaloula, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in the region (60km from Damascus) and 1300 meters above sea level. It is said to be the first monastery in Christianity, and the unique thing is that the inhabitants still speak Aramaic (the language in which Christ preached and addressed his pupils). Proceed to Palmyra for Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Palmyra

Palmyra was the capital of the Arab Emirate of Tadmor, which stretched to Egypt and the Bosphorus strait in the third century A.D. During the rule of its queen Zenobia who challenged the Emperors of Roma itself. Visit its highlights: Bel Temple, Bel Shamin Temple, Nebo Temple, the Street of Colonnade’s, the Theater, the Forum, the tombs, and the Museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Palmyra.

Day :09

     Palmyra – Krak des Chevaliers - Aleppo

Drive then to Krak Des Chevaliers, the most spectacular but least known medieval castle in the world. The Citadel consists of tow parts- one inner & one outer. They are separated by an inner mote surrounded by inner defensive towers.  Proceed to Hama for its ancient water wheels, then drive to Aleppo for dinner and overnight .

Day :10

    Aleppo – St Simeon - Aleppo

Visit the second largest city in Syria, which was fabled with long history of glory and prosperity since the 3rd millennium BC. It is still playing a key economic role. The important sites which will be visited are: The Citadel, Khans (inns), the Grand Mosque, national Museum and the medieval covered bazaars (Souks) which wind through the old city for more than 12km. Visit the monastery of St. Simeon and return back to Aleppo for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day :11

    Aleppo – Baalbeck – Beirut

Breakfast and departure to Lebanese Borders. Meet the Lebanese German Speaking guide and assist with visa formalities. Continue to visit the Roman Temples of Baalbeck. Proceed to Beirut. Check-in at hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day :12

     Beirut – Jeita – Harissa - Byblos

Breakfast and departure to visit the city center of Beirut, the reconstruction project and the National Museum. Drive to Jeita and visit the Grottoes, then continue to Jounieh to take the Cable Car to visit Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa. Proceed to Byblos and visit the Citadel, the St John Church and the old port. Return to hotel in Beirut for dinner and overnight.

 Aleppo – Baalbeck  - Beirut

Drive early morning towards the border, cross into Lebanon, meet & assist with entry formalities and proceed to visit Lebanon’s greatest Roman treasure , Baalbeck,  counted among the wonders of the ancient world. The site includes the temples of Jupiter, Bacchus & Venus, with the remarkable Great Court and the Hexagonal Forecourt. Drive then through Beqaa Plain and Visit Ksara Winery, a large producer, famous for using the Roman caves as wine natural cellars, producing many varieties of wines of which 50% are red. After wine tasting, cross Mount Lebanon range and descent to Beirut for dinner and overnight.

Day :08

Beirut - Dog River & Byblos

Visit the National Museum and drive to the downtown district to see the huge reconstruction project-taking place to create a new commercial and residential district of the 21st century. This project has actually discovered that the capital is standing on the site of a very ancient settlement going back at least 5,000 years. Recent excavations have uncovered important archaeological sites from Canaanite, Phoenician, and Persian, Roman, Byzantine, Omayyad, Abbassid, Crusader, Mamluke and Ottoman eras. The 1.80 sq. meters reconstruction project includes new buildings but constructed in the traditional style, besides hundreds of old structures that have been restored and renovated to its original shapes, including Beirut’s souks and historical mosques and churches. Drive 20km along the highway north of Beirut to visit the Dog River, for its commemorative inscriptions that have been left behind by conquering armies between 2nd millenium BC. and 1949 AD.

Proceed north to discover a town that goes back 7,000 years; and the worlds oldest continuously inhabited. Located 37km north of Beirut, Byblos is a quite charming small town of great history. Visit its ancient sites, and then explore the old part of the town on foot, starting from fishermen’s harbor, leading uphill towards the Church of St. John the Baptist and souks. Return to Beirut Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

B/F and visit the ruins of Palmyra, which was grown up by the contribution of the Silk Road and climaxed by Queen Zenobia. We visit Palmyra Museum, the Bel temple, Tower Tombs, the Theater, the Monumental arch, Zenobia Bath, Bel Shamin, Nebo Temple, the Street of colonnades, Agora. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day :04

    Palmyra – Homs – Krak des Chevaliers – Hama – Aleppo

B/F and departure to visit the Krak des Chevaliers via Homs, then continue to Hama to visit the ancient water wheels (the norias). Arrival to Aleppo. Dinner and overnight.

Day :05

    Aleppo – St Simeon – Aleppo ( 90 km)

B/F and visit of Aleppo including the Archaeological Museum of Aleppo, the Citadel, the Grand Mosque , Al Wazir Caravanserail with all kinds of goods & colors.  Afternoon visit of St. Simeon. Return to hotel in Aleppo for dinner and overnight.

Day :06

    Aleppo – Ebla – Apamea – Damascus ( 450 km)

B/F and departure to visit Ebla and Apamea. Return to Damascus. Dinner and overnight.

Day :07

    Damascus

B/F and departure to visit one of the oldest cities in the world: Damascus, to see the National Museum, Tukia Al Sulaymanieh, Suq Al Hamidiye, Ommayad Mosque, Saladdin Memorial, Azem Palace, Straight Street of Damascus, St Ananias Chapel, St Paul Chapel. Return to Hotel for dinner and overnight.
